Congressman Self enlighented us on “Where Do We Go From Here? – A Post-Election Perspective”. Obviously, the answer to that question and perspective on that subject will depend significantly on our upcoming election outcome, which made this an even more interesting topic!
Congressman Self is a native Texan who, after graduating from high school in Amarillo, TX, accepted an appointment to The US Military Academy at West Point. He served in the US Army for 25 years, earning the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and gained deep experience in the operational and strategic levels of military planning and policy. After retiring from military service, he was elected Collin County Judge, presiding over one of the fastest-growing counties in the US at that time. He served the public by helping cut taxes, solving the pension crisis, putting the county checkbook online, and defending property rights. Following his judicial retirement, Keith ran for US Congress and won his current congressional seat in 2022. He currently serves on the US House Foreign Affairs and Veterans’ Affairs Committees as well as several key House caucuses.
Congressman Self has also served on numerous public and community organization boards such as The Samaritan Inn, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, The US Army Recruiting Battalion Advisory Board, and others.
